A bit about me

Hello Everybody. I am a Lecturer, Blogger, Writer, Artist, Assistant Director (Telugu Film Industry) and a small Scientist.

16 Free Internet resources to curate your ideas - IDEAS HUNT


Once in our life, everybody has some ideas whether they are big or small, when you work it out it creates such an excitement and equally enjoyable. In most cases, our ideas are killed by us knowingly or unknowingly. But whenever you have a stellar idea that you have a gut feeling about it which could be turn into a breakthrough idea. All those ideas requires stimulation, which comprised of many activities, environments and conditions. There are a lot of resources available in internet which helps you to curate or refine your ideas, provides a platform to achieve your goals and also give support to make your ideas to become a reality. 

Let us check few resources available in internet for idea generation, curation and support.

1. Ideahunt.io




Idea Hunt is a platform that connects companies, people and ideas. Each hunt focuses on a specific challenge, for example: What is the killer feature we are missing? What is the best use case for our product? How can we attract more users?

Once you enter into idea buddy and ask for ideas, every time it will give 10 ideas to to you and you have to share one of your ideas with it. It not only give you ideas but meanwhile it creates much fun.

Idea bot is a prototype which enters into your messenger and finds TEDx talks for you according to your preferences. You can choose some inspirational videos which would be helpful for your ideas. It is a chatbot, so you can chat with it and share your ideas with it. Based on your ideas it shares some random TED talks with you.

8. Iris:


Iris - is a platform where you set your ideas and goals like mapping system. It is a combination of task manager and mind map principles which helps you to achieve your goals as per your convenience. One can start a free account in Iris both in desktop version or in iphone app and make use of it according to your convenience. 


Brineet.com is a platform where you can share your ideas with social media, organizations, other entrepreneurs and also win some prizes. Once you post your idea, you can receive responses, points, feedback depending on your idea. Braineet is available in desktop version, android and iphone app formats.



10. Milanote:


Milanote is based on the idea that behind every great piece of work is a lot of research, thinking and planning that is often messy, unstructured and takes time to evolve. That’s why Milanote is much more visual, flexible and tactile than similar products. They’ve really tried to reproduce the feeling of working on a wall in a creative studio.

11. Curator


Curator is an amazingly simple “modern creativity tool” for your iPhone and iPad. Curator lets you create a visual grid where you can quickly add and re-organize different types of content together, from the very first fragment of an idea all the way through to presentation.

Collect and see all of your notes (websites, images or text) in one place and organise all of your content with a simple drag and drop. Use the full screen mode to swipe between notes and even check out all your saved websites with live visual bookmarks. You can also add images from your device or cloud sources like Dropbox and Instagram.

12. Get Point:


Point is a simple Chrome plug-in you can use to share links with your teammates. But the great thing about Point is that you can also comment on the content from within the page you are sharing. It works really simple, using the “@” to “point” a page to someone else. When you’ve installed the plugin you create an account and start inviting or adding your teammates.

When you’ve found a site you want to share, you simply press Shift+2 and a little pop-up shows up. Here you select who you want to point the url to, hit Enter, and voilá, you just shared it! From here you can talk about the page you shared, select and share pieces of text from within the page and add a tag to the page if you’re collecting stuff within a certain category.

Point is only available on Chrome right now, but they are working on multi-browser integration (like Safari) and mobile apps (iOS).

13. Germ.io:

MindMeister is built to facilitate collaboration. MindMeister has been called the number one mind mapping tool available today, mostly because of its sleek design and simple to use interface. MindMeister gives you the ability to quickly develop your own ideas and share your maps to brainstorm and collaborate with others.

But MindMap packs many more features: see a full history of changes made overtime, export to various file formats, embed maps on your website and import files and documents you want to use in your brainstorming process from services like Dropbox, Google Drive and Evernote.

When you’re finished brainstorming you can use the iPhone and iPad apps to present your ideas right from the app on your AppleTV using AirPlay. You can create up to 3 mind maps with the free MindMeister account, so that should be enough to get you started with your startup idea.

15. Xmind:



XMind is an award-winning (open source) tool you can us to jot down your ideas and brainstorm about their possibilities in a real easy way, creating great looking mind maps. One of the coolest features is the “Idea Factory”, which you can use to collect inspirations when they come to mind.

You can easily export your mind maps to Evernote and integrate them in any note or document. XMind also supports exporting to common used file formats like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, RTF, Plain Text, HTML, PNG, JPEG, and more. Best thing to being open source is that XMind is free to download and free to use forever.



It's on iOS, Android and Windows. Fun and easy app for parents and kids, designers or anyone. You can also download your files and upload into Tinkercad to modify or create new designs. Tinkercad is an easy, browser-based 3D design and modeling tool for all. Tinkercad allows users to imagine anything and then design it in minutes.
